Bio
Hello! I'm Gavin, and 1992 was the year when I was truly inspired to become an Illustrator/Visual Designer. The popular culture of the early 1990's in the UK was what got me: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Nike Air Jordans, Fila sneakers, Street Fighter II', Fido Dido, and Bartman.
I started to take drawing seriously at this time, and aged nine, my aunt practically threw me into a Marvel Comics UK competition where I was a runner-up, despite being one of the youngest artists there. After studying a degree in Visual Communication Design, I have started to fuse together traditional and digital media. Fashion, Apparel Design, Music, Portraits, Film, and Sport are some of the subjects that I am inspired by, and enjoy creating images for. I have also been fortunate to have my work published.
I'm motivated by Graphic Design, Pop art, Art Noveau, Typography, Comics, Film Noir, my awesome family and friends, and the people who take pleasure in my work.
